About this role
About Atlantic
Atlantic Restoration & Waterproofing is a $50M+ self-perform building envelope restoration contractor with 250+ employees. We specialize in masonry, concrete, waterproofing, roofing, and historic preservation, and have been in business for more than 35 years. Our work includes the Pentagon, Jefferson Memorial, U.S.
Naval Academy, Smithsonian museums, and the Supreme Court.
About the role
You will keep the books clean for the money moving through a $50M+ contractor: vendor bills, customer billing, payroll, and equipment rentals. You will be the person vendors call, the backup when payroll needs a second set of hands, and the owner of reconciliations that catch problems early. This is a hands-on role for someone who likes fixing a process, not only running it.
What you'll do
- Vendor and subcontractor relationships: answer payment questions, keep W-9s and insurance certificates current, and verify any bank change by calling a known number before anything is updated
- Payroll support and backup: collect and check timesheets, prepare inputs, and cover when the payroll lead is out
- Equipment rentals: keep the master rental list current, match rental invoices to field usage, and make sure equipment is off-rented when a job ends
- Reconciliations: reconcile bank, credit card, and vendor statements monthly and clear open items
- Support certified payroll reporting on federal jobs
- Help improve month-end close, workflows, and trackers as we grow
What we're looking for
- 2-4 years of experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, or staff accounting
- Comfort with reconciliations and month-end close
- Strong Excel skills (lookups, pivot tables, filters)
- Construction or job cost accounting is a plus: retainage, lien waivers, subcontractor billing
- Experience with accounting software
- High attention to detail and comfort with confidential payroll and vendor information
- Clear, professional communication with vendors, project managers, and field staff
- Degree in accounting or finance preferred, or equivalent experience
- Authorized to work in the United State
Pay: $65,600.00 - $80,000.00 per year
Benefits:
- 401(k)
- Dental insurance
- Health insurance
- Life insurance
- Paid time off
- Vision insurance
Work Location: In person
