Occupational Therapist

Atlanta Kids OT is a small, warm, and growing pediatric private practice in Smyrna. We’re looking for a thoughtful, child-centered Occupational Therapist who genuinely enjoys getting to know children and families and providing individualized care.

We provide true one-on-one, play-based OT in a calm, welcoming clinic where therapists have the space to be creative, build meaningful relationships, and get to know the children they work with.

We’re especially looking for an OT who enjoys supporting children with sensory processing, emotional regulation, self-regulation, executive functioning, flexibility, and participation in everyday activities.

What You’ll Do

• Provide individualized, play-based OT services to children with a variety of developmental and functional needs
• Address sensory processing, emotional regulation, self-regulation, executive functioning, and participation in daily activities
• Develop thoughtful, child-specific treatment plans based on each child’s strengths, needs, and goals
• Use sensory-based and regulation strategies to support participation and engagement
• Help children develop coping strategies, body awareness, flexibility, impulse control, and other functional skills
• Complete evaluations, progress notes, and required documentation
• Collaborate closely with parents and caregivers and provide practical strategies for carryover at home
• Build strong, trusting relationships with children and families

What We’re Looking For

• A warm, patient therapist who genuinely enjoys working with children
• Someone creative and comfortable adapting activities based on the child in front of you
• Someone comfortable supporting children with transitions, attention, regulation, flexibility, and impulse control
• An OT interested in sensory processing and emotional/self-regulation
• Someone comfortable working closely with caregivers
• A collaborative therapist who is open to learning from other therapists
• Someone organized and able to complete documentation in a timely manner
• A therapist who values individualized, child-centered pediatric OT

Position Details

• $65–$75/hour
• 1099 independent contractor
• Afternoon availability preferred
• No weekends
• In-person at our Smyrna clinic, located in the heart of Smyrna’s Village Green

License/Certification

• Occupational Therapy License (Required)
