• Provide vigilant, compassionate post-anesthesia care by closely monitoring vital signs, managing acute surgical recovery, and proactively updating patients, families, and surgical teams on progress.
• Act as the essential clinical bridge between surgical services, anesthesia, and inpatient floors, facilitating clear communication to ensure every phase of the patient journey is cohesive and safe.
• Accurately execute complex physician and anesthesia orders with precision, maintaining rigorous clinical and airway management standards while keeping patient comfort and dignity front and center.
• Lead smooth, supportive transitions by assessing discharge readiness, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring patients and their caregivers are fully prepared for the next stage of recovery.

Licensure / Certification / Registration* Required Credential(s):

+ BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

+ Registered Nurse credentialed from the Illinois Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education* Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required. OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
