Ascend Technology Group is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Software Engineer to design, develop, test, and maintain software applications and technology solutions. This role involves translating technical and business requirements into reliable software, troubleshooting application issues, collaborating with development teams, and supporting ongoing improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications and features.
• Write clean, organized, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Translate business and technical requirements into practical software solutions.
• Collaborate with developers, designers, project managers, analysts, and other team members.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software defects and technical issues.
• Participate in code reviews and follow established development standards.
• Develop and integrate APIs, databases, and software components as needed.
• Perform software testing and help ensure application quality and reliability.
• Assist with application updates, deployments, maintenance, and technical improvements.
• Monitor application performance and help identify opportunities for optimization.
• Maintain technical documentation and development-related records.
• Communicate development progress, technical issues, and project requirements clearly.
• Stay informed about relevant programming languages, frameworks, tools, and industry practices.

Qualifications

• Previous software engineering, software development, or related technical experience is helpful.
• Strong understanding of programming concepts and software development practices.
• Experience with one or more common programming languages and development frameworks.
• Familiarity with databases, APIs, version control, and software testing.
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and code quality.
• Ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical team members.
• Comfortable managing multiple development tasks and project priorities.

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
