Senior Corporate Accountant

About the Company

Our client is an investment management firm specializing in commercial real estate debt and credit investments. The firm invests across a range of investment strategies including commercial real estate lending, mezzanine financing, and mortgage-backed securities serving institutional investors and other capital partners.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly management company financial statements
• Prepare journal entries and monthly reconciliations of balance sheet and income statement accounts
• Prepare and review management company expense allocations and billbacks to funds
• Coordinate and prepare audit schedules supporting documentation, and auditor requests for the annual management company audits
• Assist with preparing support for the annual budgeting process and quarterly management committee meetings
• Review daily and monthly cash reconciliations
• Manage travel & expense report processing and determine the appropriate allocation of expenses to management company, funds, and deal entities
• Manage corporate Amex program and prepare monthly journal entries to record travel & expense transactions
• Support the treasury process including wire processing, account setup, and user entitlements.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
• 6-8 years of corporate accounting experience within real estate or asset management
• CPA preferred
• Working knowledge of Sage Intacct or SAP Concur software a plus
• Strong understanding and application of US GAAP is required
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify discrepancies, investigate issues, and implement effective solutions

Salary Range:

$130,000-$150,000
