Business Intelligence Specialist

We are looking for an experienced Business Intelligence Specialist to join our Data & AI team and serve as a BI SME across multiple platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Power BI, Tableau, SAP BI, and SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) , along with expertise in semantic modeling, BI administration, migration, and performance optimization.

Key Responsibilities

BI Tools & Development

• Work extensively with Power BI, Tableau, SAP BI, and SAC.
• Design and develop robust semantic and data models.
• Build measures, calculated fields, relationships, dashboards, and reports.
• Implement advanced visualizations, segmentation, drill-through/drill-down, scheduled refreshes, alerts, and distribution.
• Stay current with AI-assisted BI capabilities such as Power BI Copilot, Tableau Agent/Pulse, and SAC AI.

Migration & Integration

• Support and lead BI platform migrations, including SAP BI to Power BI/Tableau.
• Perform content conversion, semantic model redesign, and validation.
• Integrate BI platforms with Oracle, Cloudera, AWS S3/Athena/RDS, GCP BigQuery, Azure/Azure Foundry, and other cloud/on-prem platforms.
• Understand ETL/ELT processes and upstream data pipelines.

Administration & Operations

• Support on-premises and SaaS BI platform administration.
• Manage Tableau services, monitoring, logging, restarts, and alerting.
• Develop BI governance and usage-monitoring dashboards.
• Monitor platform adoption, performance, and license utilization.
• Support authentication and authorization using Entra ID, ISAM, or LDAP.
• Review and remediate security vulnerabilities.

Performance & Governance

• Optimize dashboard and report performance.
• Troubleshoot and eliminate long-running queries.
• Establish BI data modeling, reporting, naming, and design standards.
• Develop reusable templates and best practices.

SME & User Enablement

• Act as a BI subject matter expert for business users.
• Provide troubleshooting and development support.
• Conduct training sessions and create user guides/knowledge-base documentation.

Mandatory Skills

• 8+ years of BI, reporting, or data analytics experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with

Power BI, Tableau, SAP BI, and SAC

• Strong semantic and data modeling expertise.
• Experience with advanced BI features and reporting capabilities.
• BI platform migration experience.
• Experience integrating with

Oracle, Cloudera, AWS, GCP, and Azure

.

• Strong understanding of ETL/ELT processes.
• On-premises BI administration experience.
• Experience with

Entra ID, ISAM, or LDAP

.

• Security vulnerability management experience.
• Dashboard/report performance optimization.
• Strong communication, training, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Power BI, Tableau, or SAP BI/SAC certifications.
• Experience developing BI governance and usage-monitoring dashboards.
• Experience with AI-assisted BI development.
