Position Overview

Apex Integrated Health is seeking a compassionate, experienced, and dedicated Board-

Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) to join our growing

healthcare practice in Anderson, Indiana.

This is a hybrid opportunity offering a blend of telehealth and in-person patient visits,

allowing the provider to deliver comprehensive psychiatric care through both virtual

consultations and on-site clinical encounters.

The ideal candidate must be comfortable and clinically competent in evaluating, diagnosing, and

managing psychiatric conditions across the lifespan, including children, adolescents, adults,

and geriatric patients.

We are seeking a motivated, independent practitioner who values clinical excellence, flexibility,

collaboration, and patient-centered mental healthcare.

Key Responsibilities

 Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations through telehealth and in-person visits.

 Diagnose and treat psychiatric and behavioral health conditions across the lifespan.

 Provide psychiatric care to pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations.

 Develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans.

 Prescribe, manage, and monitor psychiatric medications within the scope of practice.

 Provide ongoing medication management and psychiatric follow-up.

 Evaluate and manage conditions including depression, anxiety, ADHD, bipolar disorder,

PTSD, and other psychiatric disorders.

 Conduct suicide risk assessments, safety planning, and appropriate referrals.

 Determine when patients require in-person evaluation rather than telehealth services.

 Collaborate with primary care providers and other healthcare professionals to ensure

coordinated care.

 Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR).

 Provide patient and family education regarding psychiatric diagnoses, treatment plans,

and medication management.

 Maintain compliance with HIPAA, telehealth regulations, and applicable professional

standards.

Required Qualifications

 Masters or doctoral degree in nursing from an accredited program.

 Current, unrestricted Indiana APRN license.

 Current PMHNP-BC certification through the American Nurses Credentialing Center

(ANCC).

 Active DEA registration and applicable Indiana controlled substance registration, or

eligibility to obtain them.

 Must be qualified and competent to provide psychiatric care to pediatric,

adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations.

 Ability to conduct both in-person and telehealth psychiatric consultations.

 Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and medication management skills.

 Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

 Ability to work independently and collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team.

 Familiarity with EHR systems and secure telehealth platforms.

Preferred Qualifications

 Minimum of 1–2 years of experience as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.

 Experience treating psychiatric conditions across the lifespan.

 Previous outpatient psychiatry or integrated behavioral health experience.

 Experience delivering telepsychiatry services.

 Strong clinical judgment and commitment to culturally sensitive, evidence-based care.

 Scheduling arrangements to be discussed during the interview.

 Competitive compensation structure to be discussed based on experience and

contractual arrangements.

Pay: $72.00 - $75.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 24.0 per week
