Description

American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapist for a Long Term Care facility, requiring 1+ year of OT experience and prior LTC or Rehab setting experience.

  • Long Term Care (LTC) setting within a skilled nursing facility
  • Day shift, 8-hour shifts, 35 guaranteed weekly hours
  • No weekend requirements
  • No on-call requirements

Requirements

  • Active MA Occupational Therapist license required (if applicable)
  • Minimum 1 year of OT experience required
  • LTC or Rehab setting experience required
  • Compact license not accepted
  • At least 1 reference required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Screen and evaluate patients with cognitive and/or ADL physical functioning disorders and develop individualized care plans
  • Provide rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment including ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, exercises, and modalities
  • Use standardized assessments and evidence-based practice to guide interventions
  • Assess patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly
  • Communicate with supervisors and healthcare team regarding patient progress and treatment plans
  • Provide comprehensive discharge summaries and maintain accurate documentation in the electronic system
  • Participate in care conferences, utilization reviews, and required trainings or in-services
  • Supervise occupational therapy assistants, rehab aides, and/or students as needed
  • Adhere to NBCOT/AOTA and state practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics standards
  • No more than 7 days of RTO may be requested
