About this role

Job Summary

AMCOL Corporation is a fifth-generation, family-owned company specializing in industrial chemicals, lubrication systems, and engineered application equipment for the metal manufacturing industry.

We are seeking a motivated, relationship-driven Regional Account Manager to take ownership of an established sales territory and customer portfolio.

This is not a traditional cold-calling sales position. Our customers already rely on AMCOL's products and expertise to keep their manufacturing operations running. Your primary responsibility will be to protect those relationships, provide exceptional customer support, and identify opportunities to grow the business.

If you enjoy being on the road, visiting manufacturing facilities, solving real-world problems, and developing lasting customer relationships, this could be an excellent opportunity.

What You'll Do

Account Management & Customer Retention

  • Manage and protect an established portfolio of industrial manufacturing customers.
  • Conduct regular, scheduled customer visits throughout your assigned territory.
  • Build strong relationships with everyone from machine operators and maintenance teams to plant management, purchasing, and corporate executives.
  • Understand each customer's manufacturing processes, challenges, and evolving business needs.
  • Proactively identify and resolve customer concerns before they become larger problems.

Technical Support & Field Service

  • Monitor the performance of AMCOL's industrial fluids, lubricants, rust preventatives, and application equipment.
  • Collect fluid samples and coordinate laboratory testing and follow-up recommendations.
  • Identify equipment performance issues and coordinate technical assistance when necessary.
  • Work closely with AMCOL's technical services team to deliver effective customer solutions.
  • Receive comprehensive training on AMCOL's products, equipment, and manufacturing applications.

Territory Growth & Business Development

  • Identify opportunities to expand product usage within existing customer accounts.
  • Introduce additional products, equipment, and services that improve customer operations.
  • Develop relationships with additional departments, decision-makers, and manufacturing locations.
  • Pursue new business opportunities within the assigned territory.
  • Maintain accurate account records, sales opportunities, and customer activity in the company's CRM system.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year

Benefits:
