Physical Therapist (PT) / Occupational Therapist (OT) - School-Based
Location:
Long Island, NY School Districts
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Position Overview
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapists (PTs) and Occupational Therapists (OTs) to provide therapeutic services within school districts throughout Long Island. This is an excellent opportunity to work with children in an educational setting while maintaining a consistent daytime schedule.
Responsibilities
- Provide physical or occupational therapy services to pediatric students.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student development and educational goals.
- Evaluate student needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports.
- Ensure compliance with school policies and applicable healthcare regulations.
Qualifications
- Active New York State Physical Therapist or Occupational Therapist license.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience.
- Pediatric experience required.
- Home care experience preferred.
- Workers' Compensation Certification preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a school-based environment.
