Position Summary

The Portfolio Product Manager leads the strategy and performance of the company’s product portfolio, ensuring products meet customer needs and business objectives. This role manages product lifecycles, identifies growth opportunities, recommends pricing strategies, and drives profitability improvements.

As the primary product expert, you will partner with Sales, Marketing, R&D, Engineering, Operations, Technical Services, and Finance to guide product development, support successful launches, and strengthen the company’s market position.

What You Will Do

  • Develop and execute portfolio strategies, recommending opportunities to grow, improve, maintain, or discontinue products.
  • Manage product roadmaps and lifecycle plans aligned with business priorities, from development and launch through maturity and discontinuation.
  • Monitor revenue, profitability, market share, and product adoption to evaluate portfolio performance and recommend improvements.
  • Support pricing strategies, margin improvement, product mix optimization, and opportunities to streamline product offerings and SKUs.
  • Develop business cases and recommend product investments based on strategic fit and expected return.
  • Identify opportunities for new products, line extensions, and portfolio enhancements through customer insights, competitive benchmarking, and industry research.
  • Partner with R&D and Engineering to evaluate technical feasibility and prioritize development, incorporating customer, operational, and financial requirements.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver successful product launches and lifecycle transitions.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Marketing on product positioning, value propositions, customer messaging, and go-to-market strategies.
  • Support portfolio and brand marketing, demand generation, sales tools, and product training for internal and external audiences.
  • Support dealer, distributor, contractor, and customer engagement to increase product adoption and ensure consistent messaging across channels.
  • Communicate portfolio performance, product roadmaps, and strategic priorities while building alignment across departments.

What You Will Bring

  • A bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • At least five years of experience in product management, portfolio management, product marketing, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated success managing products throughout the full product lifecycle.
  • Experience in portfolio strategy, pricing, profitability analysis, and business case development.
  • Strong cross-functional leadership experience partnering with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Operations, Engineering, and R&D.
  • Proven ability to influence stakeholders, build alignment, and drive results across teams.
  • Experience in building materials, construction products, manufacturing, or a related industry is strongly preferred.
  • Experience supporting brand and product marketing activities is preferred.
