About the Role

Join our California HR team to support employees and managers across a broad range of human resources functions. You will help implement HR policies and programs while supporting compliance with California employment laws and local regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for employee questions and HR support.
• Administer employee benefits, including enrollment, claims support, and communication with providers.
• Support recruiting by posting openings, screening resumes, and participating in interviews.
• Coordinate onboarding, orientations, and required new-hire paperwork.
• Maintain accurate physical and electronic employee records and protect confidential information.
• Handle employee relations, conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and performance management.
• Help develop and implement HR policies and procedures aligned with California and local requirements.
• Coordinate employee training and development, including California-specific requirements.
• Manage offboarding and exit interviews to support smooth employee transitions.
• Collect and analyze HR data for reporting, trends, and compliance.
• Stay current on California employment laws and support company compliance.
• Collaborate on HR projects and initiatives that support local objectives.

Qualifications

• Experience as an HR Generalist or HR Coordinator, preferably in California.
• Strong knowledge of HR best practices, California employment laws, and local regulations.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficiency with HR information systems (HRIS) and Microsoft Office.
• Discretion when handling confidential employee information.
• Strong problem-solving, organization, attention to detail, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• SHRM or HRCI certification is a plus.

This is an in-person position in San Diego, CA 92131. Relocation before starting work is required.
