Job description

About this role

Allied Exteriors is looking for a technically curious, analytical performance marketer to take ownership of our paid acquisition strategy and help us figure out what’s next in search.

Please read application through to the end so you understand the full extent of the position and the requirements for the application.

We’re a growing exterior remodeling company serving homeowners across Houston, Dallas-Fort Worth, and Austin. We’re building our marketing team around a simple idea: we’d rather understand our marketing than outsource all of the thinking.

This role is for someone who wants to get close to the data, understand what is actually driving revenue, challenge assumptions, experiment with new ideas, and help build a performance marketing function that can scale with the company.

You’ll begin with a strong focus on Google Ads and paid search, with opportunities to expand our capabilities across Meta, technical SEO, local search, AI search visibility, automation, and other channels as we grow.

This is not a role where you simply manage campaigns and send monthly reports. We want someone who wants to know why something happened and what we should do next.

What You’ll

Own

You’ll be responsible for the strategy, execution, measurement, and continued improvement of Allied’s paid acquisition efforts across multiple Texas markets.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Manage and optimize paid media budgets across multiple markets and exterior remodeling services.
  • Own Google Ads strategy, campaign structure, testing, optimization, and reporting.
  • Expand Allied’s performance marketing capabilities into Meta and other channels where appropriate.
  • Connect advertising spend to meaningful business outcomes, including qualified appointments, sales, and revenue, not just clicks and form fills.
  • Build, test, and improve campaigns, audiences, messaging, offers, landing pages, and conversion paths.
  • Develop paid media strategies and budget recommendations as Allied expands into new markets.
  • Own and troubleshoot marketing tracking across tools such as GA4, Google Tag Manager, HubSpot, and our CRM.
  • Identify gaps between advertising-platform reporting, website analytics, CRM data, and actual business outcomes.
  • Help manage Allied’s local digital presence, including Google Business Profiles, listings, citations, and related platforms.
  • Partner with our content team on technical SEO and AI search visibility.
  • Help strengthen the technical signals that make it easier for search engines and AI platforms to understand who Allied is, what we do, where we operate, and why we’re a credible source.
  • Evaluate structured data, crawlability, indexation, site architecture, and other technical search opportunities.
  • Monitor how Allied and our competitors appear across traditional search and AI-powered search experiences.
  • Use AI, automation, and emerging technologies to analyze data, improve workflows, identify opportunities, and make our marketing more efficient.
  • Stay current on changes in paid media, search, AI, attribution, analytics, and marketing technology.

How We Expect You to Work

Our core values are part of how we make decisions, not just words on a wall.

Transparency — Tell the Truth

Marketing data gets messy. Attribution isn’t perfect. Tests fail.

Platforms sometimes make themselves look better than the actual business results suggest.

We want someone who tells us what the data really says, including when the answer is:

“I don’t know yet, but I’m figuring it out.”

Excellence — Pursue Mastery

Paid media and search change constantly, and AI is accelerating that change.

We expect you to keep learning, testing, asking questions, and improving your craft. Being good today isn’t enough if you stop learning tomorrow.

Humility — Achievement without Ego

Have opinions. Challenge assumptions. Bring us ideas we haven’t considered.

Then be willing to change your mind when someone else has a better idea or the data proves you wrong.

We care much more about getting to the right answer than about who had it first.

Alignment — Row in the Same Direction

Performance marketing doesn’t operate in isolation.

You’ll work closely with content, customer intake, sales, leadership, outside partners, and other parts of the organization.

Winning your metric while hurting another part of the business isn’t winning.

Character — Do the Right Thing

You’ll be trusted with a significant advertising budget and considerable autonomy.

Spend Allied’s money like it matters. Don’t manipulate reporting to make performance look better. Don’t use misleading advertising simply because it generates clicks.

Make decisions that are right for our customers and the business, even when no one is checking your work.

Who We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone with strong technical instincts, hands-on performance marketing experience, and the curiosity to keep pushing beyond what they already know.

You may be a strong fit if you:

  • Have hands-on experience managing Google Ads and understand paid-search fundamentals.
  • Want to understand why something happened instead of simply reporting that it happened.
  • Notice when the numbers in Google Ads, GA4, and the CRM don’t match—and feel compelled to figure out why.
  • Are comfortable working inside GA4, Google Tag Manager, spreadsheets, websites, advertising platforms, and CRMs to solve problems.
  • Understand the fundamentals of technical SEO and how search engines discover, crawl, index, and understand websites.
  • Are genuinely fluent with AI and actively look for ways to incorporate it into your work.
  • Are curious about how AI is changing search and want to experiment with how brands earn visibility and trust in AI-driven environments.
  • Enjoy testing new ideas and aren’t afraid to run an ad, campaign, or experiment that looks different from what everyone else in the industry is doing.
  • Can form a hypothesis, test it, measure the outcome, and admit when the data proves you wrong.
  • Are analytical without getting stuck in analysis.
  • Are highly coachable and low ego.
  • Take ownership instead of waiting for someone else to identify the problem.
  • Don’t believe “that’s how we’ve always done it” is a particularly compelling argument.

Experience with Meta Ads, local SEO, Google Business Profiles, schema or structured data, HubSpot, WordPress, CRO, automation, or multi-location businesses is a plus.

AI Is Part of the Job

We want someone who is embracing AI, not avoiding it.

You should be actively experimenting with ways AI can help you:

  • Analyze campaign and CRM data.
  • Identify patterns and anomalies.
  • Speed up research.
  • Generate and evaluate testing ideas.
  • Automate repetitive reporting or analysis.
  • Improve campaign workflows.
  • Explore search behavior and AI visibility.
  • Troubleshoot technical marketing problems.
  • Work faster without lowering the quality of your thinking.

We don’t expect AI to make decisions for you. We expect you to use it as a tool that makes a strong marketer more capable.

What Success Looks Like

Over time, you’ll become Allied’s internal expert on performance marketing and technical search.

You’ll help us:

  • Build a repeatable system for acquiring customers across our existing markets.
  • Understand which marketing dollars are actually producing qualified opportunities and revenue.
  • Improve attribution and confidence in our marketing data.
  • Build the paid acquisition playbook Allied can use as we enter new markets.
  • Reduce dependence on outside agencies for strategic thinking.
  • Develop a stronger technical foundation for traditional and AI-powered search.
  • Identify opportunities faster through better use of data, AI, and automation.

Most importantly, you’ll be expected to think.

If something isn’t working, investigate it.

If a process is repetitive, ask whether it can be automated.

If a platform changes, figure out what it means.

If everyone in our industry is advertising the same way, ask what happens if we don’t.

And when something goes wrong, we don’t need you to hide it. Tell us. Learn from it.

Fix it. Keep moving.

Location and Travel

This is a remote position, but candidates must be located in Texas.

Allied currently serves:

  • Houston
  • Dallas-Fort Worth
  • Austin

Additional markets are expected as we grow.

Occasional travel to Allied’s markets or company meetings may be required.

Compensation

Benefits

  • Health insurance
  • Paid time off
  • Remote work flexibility

Please record it in one continuous take with no editing or jump cuts.

We are not evaluating production quality. We care about how you communicate, how you think, and whether you followed the instructions.

Please answer:
