Company Overview
Allia Health Group (AHG) is a multi-entity healthcare organization spanning the Brello patient platform, HelloWellness, Southend Pharmacy (SEP), and Zito Care. Our product team builds the technology that connects patients, providers, and pharmacy operations across the group — from patient-facing mobile and web experiences to internal platforms that power daily operations.
We're a small, high-ownership team where your work ships quickly and reaches real patients.
Job Summary
Allia Health Groupis seeking a senior product designer to shape the end-to-end experience across our patient-facing platforms. You'll own the UI/UX design experience , each owning major product surfaces, and partner directly with product owners and engineering to take features from concept through ship. Our design workflow is not Figma-first.
Ideation happens in code: we build designs and ship working prototypes using Lovable, Codex, and VS Code, so stakeholders and users react to the real thing before engineering builds it. You'll need to adapt to this workflow and be technical enough to create and use AI skills that optimize your design output. This role rewards designers who treat AI tooling as their medium, not an add-on.
While owning the Design UI/UX experience overall. SCOPE OF OWNERSHIP* Product UI/UX across the AHG portfolio — the Brello patient platform is the immediate priority, with surfaces across HelloWellness, pharmacy, and internal platforms over time
- End-to-end ownership from ideation through shipped experience: concept, information architecture, high-fidelity design, working prototype, engineering handoff, and post-ship refinement. Design is done when it ships to standard — not at the mockup
- The design quality bar: your output is expected to meet business and executive standards without rework by others, and iterations should converge — we won't cycle through repeated redesigns of the same surface
- Design systems: own, enforce, and evolve consistent component and brand systems across product lines
- Supporting visual and brand assets (logos, marketing-adjacent design) as needed, in partnership with the business team
- Out of scope: production feature engineering (engineering owns production code) and primary customer research (a dedicated research role owns it — you'll consume and shape it)
Key Responsibilities* Own UI/UX design for major product surfaces across our patient platform and related products — flows, information architecture, high-fidelity designs, and design systems.
- Design and ship directly in our AI-assisted workflow: build designs and interactive, working prototypes in Lovable, Codex, and VS Code to validate concepts quickly with users and stakeholders
- Create and maintain AI skills and reusable workflows that raise the quality and speed of design output across the team
- Partner with product owners on discovery: translate customer research, analytics, and business goals into design decisions
- Collaborate closely with engineering to ensure designs ship as intended, and iterate based on what you learn post-launch
- Contribute to and help maintain a consistent design system across products
- Bring a strong point of view on usability and accessibility for a healthcare audience
What We Require* 10+ years of product design experience across web and mobile, with a portfolio showing shipped work and the thinking behind it
- Demonstrated experience designing and prototyping with AI-assisted tools (e.g., Lovable, Codex, Cursor, Claude, or VS Code with AI assistants) — comfort building in code rather than relying on a traditional Figma-first process
- Technical depth to work with front-end code and to utilize custom AI skills and prompt workflows that optimize design output
- Willingness to adapt fully to our ideation workflow and help evolve it
- Experience partnering directly with engineers and PMs in fast-moving, small-team environments
- Strong communication skills — you can present design decisions to executives and defend them with evidence
Preferred Requirement(s)* Experience in healthcare, health tech, or other regulated industries
- Experience designing consumer subscription or membership products
- Familiarity with usability testing and research-informed design practices
What We Offer* Full benefits package including medical, vision, dental, 401(k) with company match, PTO, Flex days, holidays, and more!
