Job Summary
- The Occupational Therapist evaluates residents, develops individualized treatment plans, and provides occupational therapy services to promote independence, safety, and improved quality of life
- Evaluate residents and develop individualized occupational therapy treatment plans
- Provide therapy focused on ADLs, functional mobility, strength, coordination, cognition, and safety
- Monitor resident progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Complete accurate and timely documentation in compliance with Medicare and facility guidelines
- Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and discharge planning
- Supervise COTAs as applicable
- Educate residents and families on adaptive techniques and equipment
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations
Job Requirements
- Master’s or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Current OT license in good standing in the state of Florida
- Knowledge of geriatric rehabilitation and Medicare regulations
- Strong communication and documentation skills
