Physical Therapist

Physical Therapist - 1 year pediatric experience preferred

Alcott School is seeking a Pediatric Physical Therapist to join our supportive, collaborative school community.

We are looking for an upbeat, flexible, and collaborative physical therapist who enjoys working with children and values teamwork. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable working independently and partnering with teachers, therapists, families, and other members of the school community.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing physical therapy services to students in a school setting
• Supporting students’ mobility, participation, and independence
• Collaborating with teachers, therapists, and families
• Participating in team and parent meetings
• Completing required documentation and progress reports
• Promoting student safety and well-being throughout the school day

Qualifications

• New York State Physical Therapist license required
• Pediatric experience preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Comfortable working with children in both indoor and outdoor play environments
• Ability to safely lift, carry, walk, run, climb stairs, and move quickly as needed to support students
• Professional, dependable, and respectful approach to working with children, families, and colleagues
