Registered Nurse - Operating Room

OR Circulating Registered Nurse

Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced OR Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team on a regular (weekly) per diem basis.

The RN will provide direct patient care in the perioperative setting, working collaboratively with the surgical team. The ideal candidate will have recent perioperative experience.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize the nursing process to address patient needs in the perioperative setting.
• Implement preoperative checklists and provide intraoperative nursing care.
• Coordinate with surgical teams, including surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical techs.
• Perform circulating duties, ensuring patient safety, maintaining sterile field, and monitoring patient status.
• Complete intraoperative records, manage sponge and needle counts, and provide supplies and equipment.
• Actively participate in room turnover and restocking of supplies.
• Adhere to medical/legal policies and safety standards at all times.
• Float to PACU when needed.

Qualifications:

• Current Nevada RN license.
• Recent perioperative experience or completion of a post-graduate perioperative nursing course.
• CNOR certification preferred.
• BLS certification required; ACLS required; PALS.
• Orthopedic experience required.

Pay: $42.00 - $44.00 per hour
