Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Department

Work:

Atrium Health Harrisburg, a facility of Atrium Health Cabarrus, provides 24-hour emergency care to Kannapolis and the surrounding communities. Our department is equipped to care for patients of all ages, treating everything from minor injuries to life-threatening emergencies such as heart attacks and strokes.

The emergency department features 14 monitored beds, 5 vertical care spaces, on-site radiology and laboratory services, and respiratory therapists available on-site with expanded services.

Patients benefit from expert care provided by board-certified emergency medicine physicians and the support of Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center, the region’s only Level I Trauma Center, ensuring access to the highest level of emergency care when needed.

We’re Looking For:

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
• Candidates must have at least 6 months of RN experience, this position is not for new graduates
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
• ACLS required within 6 months of hire
• 1 year of Critical Care (ED, ICU) experience required

What You’ll Do:

• As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
• Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
