About the Position

Advanced Southern Gastroenterology, PLLC is seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and patient-focused Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our growing gastroenterology practice in Corpus Christi, Texas.

The selected candidate will work closely with our gastroenterologist and clinical team to deliver comprehensive, high-quality care to patients with gastrointestinal and liver disorders.

We are looking for a motivated healthcare professional with strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care.

Experience in Gastroenterology, Internal Medicine, or Family Medicine is preferred. Familiarity with eClinicalWorks (eCW) is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, including medical histories, physical examinations, and follow-up assessments.
• Diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic gastrointestinal and liver conditions within the scope of practice.
• Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans.
• Order, review, and interpret laboratory tests, imaging studies, and diagnostic procedures.
• Provide pre-procedure and post-procedure care for patients undergoing colonoscopies, upper endoscopies (EGDs), FibroScan, and other gastrointestinal procedures.
• Educate patients regarding their medical conditions, medications, dietary modifications, lifestyle changes, and preventive care.
• Monitor treatment progress and coordinate follow-up care to ensure continuity of care.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, medical assistants, and administrative staff to optimize patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate, complete, and timely clinical documentation using electronic medical records (EMR).
• Assist with referrals, treatment planning, and coordination of specialty services.
• Follow established clinical protocols, HIPAA regulations, and healthcare compliance standards.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and support efficient clinical operations.

Required Qualifications

• Current, active Nurse Practitioner license in the State of Texas.
• Board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner (AGNP), or another applicable NP specialty.
• Current prescriptive authority in Texas and DEA registration, or eligibility to obtain them.
• Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic reasoning, and patient management skills.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently within the applicable scope of practice and collaboratively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
• Commitment to patient safety, confidentiality, and high-quality care.

Preferred Qualifications

• At least 1 year of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner.
• Previous experience in Gastroenterology, Hepatology, Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or a related specialty.
• Experience managing chronic gastrointestinal conditions.
• Familiarity with gastroenterology procedures and pre-/post-procedure patient management.
• Experience using eClinicalWorks (eCW) or a similar electronic medical record system.
• Strong clinical documentation and care coordination skills.

Compensation

Annual Salary: $90,000 – $120,000

Compensation will be determined based on the candidate's clinical experience, qualifications, specialty expertise, and overall suitability for the position.
