Occupational Therapist

ADVANCE Education Advisement is in need of Occupational Therapist for a 2-3 day per week School-Based position in Little Silver, New Jersey for the coming school year. September through the last day in June.

This is a 2-3 day per week position in an elementary school.

Candidate should be knowledgeable with IEP’s, be able to write reports, and assist in preparing for evaluation meetings/meeting timelines.

Applicants must have their School Occupational Therapist Certificate issued by NJ Department of Education and a Criminal History Review Letter.

We are a NJ Department of Education state-wide approved agency for contracted services.

Duties:

• Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment results
• Provide therapy sessions to help students accomplish tasks related to fine motor skills, writing, communicating, sensory processing and self-regulation and care.
• Monitor and document student progress
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care for students
• Provide education and support to students and their families

Skills:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of various occupational therapy techniques and interventions
• Ability to assess and diagnose disorders
