We are looking for a skilled, detail\-oriented Experienced Sign Designer to join our fast\-paced design team. **What You’ll Do**
- Technical Shop Drawings: Translate design concepts, architectural plans, client briefs, and brand standards into precise vector production files and fully detailed technical shop drawings for architectural signage.
- Environmental \& Architectural Graphics: Design and develop comprehensive interior/exterior signage packages, wayfinding systems, custom monument signage, and vinyl/graphics applications.
- Vector \& Asset Production: Build, audit, and finalize production\-ready vector assets (preparing cut files, organizing layers, specifying material callouts) for fabrication processes such as CNC routing, laser cutting, and UV flatbed printing.
- Code \& ADA Compliance: Apply local municipal sign codes, structural mounting specifications, and ADA braille/signage standards across assigned project phases.
- Cross\-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with project managers, sales teams, and in\-house fabrication leads to ensure designs meet engineering requirements, client budgets, and production schedules.
**What We’re Looking For**
- Industry Experience: 3\+ years of professional experience in architectural signage design, custom fabrication, or environmental graphic design.
- Software Expertise: Proficiency in vector design software (Adobe Illustrator required). Familiarity or proficiency with 3D CAD modeling software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, or SolidWorks) is strongly preferred.
- Fabrication \& Technical Knowledge: Solid understanding of sign fabrication techniques, materials (acrylic, aluminum, CMU, routed metals, LEDs), and print processes (UV flatbed printing, clear coats, paint finishes).
- Lighting \& Electrical Signage:
o Illuminated Assemblies \& Power Systems: Working knowledge of low\-voltage LED systems (modules, tape, and light bars) across standard color temperatures and RGB/RGBW addressable configurations. Understanding of Class 2 power supply sizing, driver load calculations, and integration into custom raceways, cabinets, and wireway enclosures for optimal routing and servicing.
- Code \& Architectural Literacy: Working knowledge of ADA signage guidelines, municipal sign codes, structural mounting methods, and reading architectural elevations/blueprints.
- Detail \& Problem Solving: Strong typography, spatial design, and scale judgment, with the ability to balance aesthetic impact with structural feasibility.
