Description:
The BioPro Seed Data Team is a cross-departmental team who processes seed data requests for project team members using various technological methods. Seed data essentially is the act of seeding testing data in the non-production environments of our to-be Blood Management System, BioPro.
A Seed Data Coordinator is a team member who processes seed data requests for project team members. A coordinator evaluates requests, understands requestors’ needs, determines the appropriate method of creation, and creates the seed data. This individual creates the seed data in a timely and fast manner.
This individual should be a self-starter who can work closely with the overall team. This individual seeks out information to learn about the business, asks questions, communicates effectively and timely, and is mission driven. Team members understand that we work in partnerships in a rapidly changing environment.
While fulfilling seed data requests, the team member(s) may find software observations and will work together to rapidly clarify the observation, criticality of the problem, solve the issue (if possible), and escalate to appropriate parties (if needed). The BioPro Seed Data Team works in a rapidly changing environment due to the nature of the work and project.
Responsibilities
- Fulfill time-sensitive seed data requests for informal check out of software functionality, regression testing and formal User Validation events Seed historical donor and donation information for use in complex testing.
- Utilize JSON files to seed test data for application testing.
- Structuring mock records to reliably populate test environment(s).
- Requires attention to detail.
- May provide manual application testing support.
- Investigate root cause of testing issues prior to escalating to the Vendor.
- This includes data quality, checking variables, parent/child object relationships, ability to break down the JSON) Support other seed data team members with problems/root cause analysis.
- Understand complex configurations across different environments Able to find the right person to provide business process information – does not stop in their tracks.
- Partner with seed data automation team to advance donations using their automation scripts.
- Active participant on Teams’ chat.
Requirements
5+ years in software quality assurance end to end testing.
Has worked with JSON, XML files, understands objects, variables and syntaxes
Experience testing on a complex, ERP system with interconnectivity between modules.
Experience in working in project-oriented, matrixed environment
Ability to learn business processes quickly and independently.
Extensive IT software testing experience in biomedical (pharma, CRO, clinical trials, blood banking)
Must be able to meet stringent deadlines.
Excellent understanding of software development life cycle, risk management, and configuration management
Exceptional communication and documentation skills
Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary teams in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge and/or experience in an FDA-regulated environment required, background in medical devices or GMP is strongly preferred
Optional desirable qualifications
Extensive blood banking knowledge
Extensive IT software testing experience in a biomedical or blood banking environment.
