Senior Accountant

Job Summary

As a Senior Accountant, you’ll keep financial records accurate, support reliable reporting, and strengthen day-to-day accounting operations. You’ll apply accounting and finance experience, sound analysis skills, and knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) to manage the general ledger, reconciliations, and close activities.

Duties

• Managing month-end and year-end close activities, journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
• Preparing and reviewing financial statements, management reports, and variance analyses.
• Maintaining job costing and work-in-progress (WIP) reports for construction, telecommunications, and other project-based work.
• Overseeing accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, including billing, collections, vendor payments, and aging reports.
• Supporting payroll accounting, labor cost allocation, fixed assets, bank reconciliations, audits, and internal controls.
• Working with management and project teams to provide accurate financial information and improve accounting processes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including month-end close and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Strong knowledge of the full accounting cycle and generally accepted accounting principles.
• Experience with job costing, WIP reporting, cost codes, project billing, and margin analysis is strongly preferred.
• Previous experience in construction, telecommunications, engineering, or another project-based industry is preferred.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and data reconciliation.
• Experience with ERP or accounting systems; Odoo experience is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred; CPA or CMA is a plus.
• Bilingual English and Spanish is preferred.

Pay: From $72,300.00 per year
