Embedded Software Engineer

**Salary:** $80,000\. 00 \- $90,000\. 00 DOE

**Job Title:** Embedded Software Engineer

The Embedded Software Engineer is responsible for design and development of our various hardware initiatives in communications, consumer products, as well as EV charging products.

**RESPONSIBILITIES:**

• Be involved in design and development of a portfolio of niche consumer hardware products for the grid edge needed to support the energy transition and support of consumer solar and batteries, EVs, home automation, consumer energy management, etc.
• Collaborate with the development team to understand use cases and create products that meet customer needs.
• Research and apply new technologies in operating systems, business applications, and GUIs on embedded hardware products.
• Configure, build, and deploy embedded Linux OS with drivers on customized hardware platforms.
• Develop communication interfaces such as DNP, MQTT, OPC UA, and others.
• Create test applications and test plans to ensure the quality and reliability of the code.
• Learn new technologies and skills and immediately apply them to solve problems.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers to bring up prototypes and troubleshoot issues.
• Support customer interactions including technical discussions, technical demonstrations, etc.
• Develop presentation and/or data sheet collateral if needed.
• Other technical and engineering duties as assigned from time to time.

**Requirements**

• Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science degree with experience in embedded software design and development.
• Software development,
• Embedded Operating Systems,
• Design of embedded software on hardware products.
• Programming languages required include C, C\+\+, and Java.
