Machine Learning Engineer

I'm hiring a Senior ML Engineer to join an early-stage semiconductor startup built around MIT research in 3D heterogeneous integration, combining materials such as GaN, silicon, glass and diamond to rethink how advanced systems are designed and packaged.

This role will build ML-driven design automation across complex engineering workflows spanning circuits, packaging, materials and physical systems. The interesting part is that they are not looking for someone who already knows every semiconductor workflow.

They want someone who can bring strong ML, agents, optimization or scientific modelling into a hardware environment and work directly with engineers to decide what should actually be automated.

→ Build ML and agentic systems for complex engineering design workflows

→ Apply optimization, simulation and scientific ML to physical systems

→ Own ambiguous problems from research through engineering adoption
