Nurse Practitioner - Urgent Care (Evenings & Weekends)

About Us

Plainfield Urgent Care, part of Absolute Integrated Health, gives the Plainfield community convenient walk-in care for illnesses and injuries. We work alongside an integrated team of chiropractic, physical therapy, and medical providers. We’re looking for an experienced Nurse Practitioner to help us grow.

The Role

You’ll be the primary provider for walk-in and scheduled urgent care patients during evening and weekend hours. You’ll assess, diagnose, and treat acute illnesses and minor injuries in a fast-paced, team-oriented clinic, with support from our Medical Director and an integrated care team.

Schedule

• Monday–Friday: 4:30 PM – 8:00 PM
• Saturday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Sunday: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with acute illnesses and minor injuries
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including labs and X-rays
• Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans
• Perform minor procedures such as laceration repair, splinting, I&D, and wound care
• Document visits accurately and on time in the EMR
• Refer patients to specialists and integrated services when appropriate
• Help shape workflows and protocols for a growing urgent care practice

Qualifications

• Active Illinois APRN license, or eligible for one
• Board certification (FNP preferred)
• Active DEA registration, or willing to obtain one
• Current BLS required; ACLS preferred
• At least 1 year of urgent care, emergency, or family practice experience preferred
• Comfortable working independently during evening and weekend shifts
• Strong communication skills and a patient-first approach
