We are looking for a bilingual HR Assistant to provide clerical and administrative support to the Human Resources Department. An important part of this role will be to act as a liaison between HR and employees, ensuring smooth communication and prompt resolution of requests and questions. This is a full time position based out of our Middletown, NY facility.

Duties/Responsibilities:

· Provides clerical support to the HR department and the Plant Manager

· Screens candidates, schedules and assists with interviewing

· Conducts initial orientation for newly hired employees and processes all new hire paperwork

· Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Experience:

· MUST be bilingual (English/Spanish)

· Proven experience as an HR Assistant or relevant position

· Associates degree in related field required a plus

· Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy

· Strong communication skills

· Excellent organizational skills

· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite

Physical Requirements:

· Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer

· Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times

Pay: The pay range for this position is $17.00-19.00/hour. Abe's Vegan Muffins takes into consideration a wide range of factors in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs.
