The Opportunity

A production solution-oriented product management role, not research or exploratory one.

AI Product Manager partners with Abbott business divisions and function to turn business value drivers, targets, and prioritized use cases into a living roadmap of the product's capabilities — what it can support today and what it needs to support next — so the business's highest-strategic-value use cases have a clear, resourced path to production.

This is a delivery-accountable role. the AI Product Manager owns outcomes after launch, not just intake.

What You'll Do

  • Partner with the business divisions and function leaders and AI liaisons to capture value drivers, targets, and prioritized use cases, and translate them into product requirements.
  • Own and maintain a rolling roadmap of the product's capabilities, mapped explicitly to the high-strategic-value use cases each capability is meant to support and enable.
  • Prioritize and sequence capability investment by the strategic value and enablement impact of the use cases it unlocks.
  • Scope technical feasibility jointly with AI/Agentic Engineering and Applied Data Science leads before committing capability to the roadmap.
  • Own the outcome of shipped use cases post-launch, sharing accountability with the division's business liaison for hitting the value target.
  • Represent the business's needs in cross-functional roadmap sequencing.
  • Mentor and technically develop junior team members.

Required Qualifications

  • 5–8 years of product management experience, in shipping production AI and ML products.
  • Strong hands-on experience as a product manager who has owned and shipped AI-powered products in an enterprise setting. Direct accountability for an AI product's roadmap and outcomes is required.
  • Proficiency with agentic AI or LLM-based product patterns.
  • Strong technical fluency to scope feasibility directly with engineering leads.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience.
  • Strong stakeholder-management skills; comfortable owning outcomes shared with a business-side partner.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience as a product manager for AI/ML products at a highly regulated technology or technology-enabled company (e.g., health tech, med-tech, fintech, or similarly regulated environments) building and sequencing a roadmap under compliance, validation, and audit constraints.
