About this role
At 3Si, our mission is to make your world, safer. As a global leader in innovative security technology, we help businesses and law enforcement prevent and respond to crime through field-proven solutions and trusted partnerships. With over 100+ years of combined experience through our merged companies, our expertise drives measurable impact in communities worldwide.
We specialize in GPS tracking, video surveillance, and integrated response technologies that deter theft and accelerate criminal apprehension. Designed for retail, financial institutions, law enforcement, and more, our solutions combine cutting-edge tools with unmatched response capabilities.
Through our exclusiveDirectToDispatch™ technology, verified crime alerts are sent directly to law enforcement dispatch centers in real time—bypassing traditional third-party monitoring delays—to enable rapid, precise response when it matters most.
At 3Si, meaningful work makes a difference. We’re a purpose-driven team that values innovation, trust, and collaboration. From engineering to sales and support, every role contributes to our mission to protect communities and make the world safer.
We offer a hybrid, flexible work culture, competitive benefits, and the chance to grow alongside a team of passionate, dedicated professionals.
Join us—and be part of something that matters. The Senior Product Manager is solely responsible for 3Si’s complete product portfolio, including all software product offerings (such as DirectToDispatch) and all hardware product offerings (such as GPS tracking devices serving the company’s retail cash, pharmaceutical, tobacco, and jewelry verticals).
This role owns the strategy, roadmap, lifecycle, and commercial success of every 3Si product and serves as the primary point of accountability for product decisions.
The Senior Product Manager leads and develops a team of Product Specialists, setting priorities, assigning product responsibilities, and coaching team members to deliver consistent, high-quality product management across the portfolio.
The role works closely with executive leadership, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, and Training to align product direction with business objectives and coordinate product activities from concept through end of life.
This role balances the ongoing management and enhancement of established products with the identification, evaluation, and introduction of new product opportunities, and requires fluency in both connected hardware development and software/SaaS delivery practices.
Primary Responsibilities
Portfolio Strategy & Ownership
- Own the product strategy, vision, and multi-year roadmap for all 3Si software and hardware product offerings, ensuring alignment with company goals and market needs.
- Manage the portfolio holistically, balancing investment across product lines, verticals, and hardware and software initiatives, and making clear prioritization and trade-off recommendations to leadership.
- Define and track product success metrics (e.g., revenue, margin, adoption, customer satisfaction, quality) and report portfolio performance to executive leadership.
- Develop business cases for new products, major enhancements, and product retirements, including market sizing, pricing, cost, and return-on-investment analysis.
- Identify new product, integration, and market opportunities, and lead the evaluation of build, buy, and partner options.
Team Leadership & People Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Product Specialists, including hiring, onboarding, goal setting, performance management, and career development.
- Assign product line and vertical ownership across the team, ensuring coverage, accountability, and consistency across the portfolio.
- Establish and maintain standard product management processes, templates, and tools (e.g., requirements, roadmaps, release readiness, lifecycle reviews).
- Review team deliverables and provide coaching to raise the quality of requirements, customer insight, and cross-functional communication.
- Plan team capacity and resources, and advocate for staffing needs as the portfolio grows.
Software Product Management
- Own the requirements and roadmap for 3Si software offerings, including web, mobile, cloud/SaaS, and integration capabilities.
- Partner with Engineering on agile planning, backlog prioritization, sprint and release reviews, and user acceptance testing.
- Drive priorities related to usability, reliability, security, scalability, and integrations with customer and partner systems.
- Coordinate software release communications, documentation, and readiness with internal teams and customers.
Hardware Product Management
- Own the requirements and lifecycle for 3Si hardware offerings, including GPS tracking devices and related accessories, from concept through end of life.
- Partner with Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, and Quality on hardware development phases, prototyping, testing, certification, and production readiness.
- Manage hardware considerations such as product cost targets, component availability and obsolescence, carrier and regulatory certifications, form factor, and battery life.
- Ensure hardware and firmware roadmaps are coordinated with software platforms so that devices and applications deliver a cohesive customer solution.
- Plan product transitions, last-time buys, and end-of-life communications in coordination with Sales and Operations.
Go-to-Market & Customer Engagement
- Serve as the senior product resource for customers and prospects through executive meetings, demonstrations, presentations, and strategic account discussions.
- Gather and evaluate customer feedback, market research, and competitive intelligence to inform product strategy and priorities.
- Partner with Marketing and Sales on product positioning, pricing, messaging, launch plans, and sales enablement materials.
- Partner with Training and Customer Success to ensure internal teams and customers are prepared for new products and releases.
- Lead product launch planning and execution across hardware and software offerings.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
- Serve as the primary liaison between customers, executive leadership, and internal teams on all product-related matters.
- Monitor product performance, quality trends, support issues, and field feedback, and drive corrective actions and improvements.
- Stay current on industry developments, emerging technologies, competitive products, and regulatory changes affecting 3SI’s markets.
- Prepare product updates, analysis, and recommendations for executive leadership.
