Our client, a growing California-based law firm, is seeking a skilled and motivated Family Law Attorney to join its collaborative legal team.

• Engagement Type: 1099 Independent Contractor, with a W-2 arrangement also available depending on the candidate.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Independently manage and oversee family law cases from inception through resolution.
• Handle substantive legal work, including pleadings, motions, discovery, and other litigation-related matters.
• Conduct comprehensive legal research and prepare well-supported legal documents.
• Represent and advise clients on various family law matters.
• Develop case strategies and provide sound legal recommendations.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and other relevant parties.
• Ensure compliance with California family law procedures, court rules, and applicable regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Active and good-standing membership with the California State Bar.
• At least 2 years of professional family law experience.
• Demonstrated ability to independently manage cases and handle litigation matters.
• Strong legal research, writing, drafting, and analytical skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a remote legal team.
• Mandarin/Chinese language proficiency is a plus, but not required.
