Autodesk is seeking an experienced Senior Back End Software Engineer to join our Agile development team. This is a fixed term position, with the possibility of extension

The role will be offered on a contract basis through an external employment partner .

As part of this role, you will join the team responsible for building foundational backend services and contributing to the development of the next generation of the Autodesk Construction Cloud Platform , used across mobile applications, web applications, and cloud services.

At Autodesk, we work in a hybrid environment based in our Tel Aviv office, with 2 office days per week .

Responsibilities

• Work as a member of a self-organized Agile team that builds, owns, and operates its services
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reliable backend services using Node.js
• Contribute to all aspects of the software development lifecycle, from architecture and development through deployment and production
• Build clean, performant, maintainable, and highly scalable backend solutions
• Work with cloud-based architectures and services in AWS
• Contribute to and improve CI/CD pipelines and DevOps processes , including hands-on work with Jenkins
• Leverage and effectively work with modern AI tools and AI-assisted development technologies
• Work closely with Product Management and other stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into high-quality technical solutions
• Participate in technical discussions, architecture decisions, code reviews, and engineering best practices

Minimum Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software development experience , with a strong focus on backend development
• Extensive hands-on experience developing production-grade backend applications and services using Node.js
• Proven experience designing and developing scalable, reliable, and maintainable distributed systems
• Hands-on experience with AWS and cloud-native application development
• Strong experience with CI/CD and DevOps practices
• Hands-on experience working with Jenkins
• Good understanding of and practical experience using AI tools and AI-assisted software development workflows
• Experience with Git or equivalent distributed version control systems
• Excellent written and verbal technical communication skills in English

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience designing backend architecture for large-scale cloud platforms
• Experience with microservices and distributed systems
• Experience with observability, monitoring, and production troubleshooting
• Familiarity with infrastructure automation and modern DevOps practices
• Experience introducing or leveraging AI-based tools to improve engineering productivity, development workflows, or software quality
