AI & Data Platforms (AiDP) is IS&T's engine for AI-powered innovation. The team brings together data, application development, and machine learning — including generative AI — along with data services and customer success functions, to help IS&T build solutions more efficiently and streamline the adoption and embedding of generative AI across Apple.

The role will design and build core platform capabilities — from high-throughput data pipelines for business automation to AI-powered insights and agentic automation to the interfaces that put them in users’ hands. You own your products through the full lifecycle: shipping new features, triaging and resolving critical production issues, and ensuring operational health.

You will provide technical leadership on architecture, engineering standards, and technology choices, and partner closely with product and design to ensure what we build actually moves the needle.

10+ years building and scaling production-grade full-stack and backend services using Node.js, ReactJS, TypeScript, and Java. Experience with Kafka and Flink for event-driven architectures, real-time stream processing, and distributed systems. Experience building AI-powered products, including LLM integration, agentic workflows, NLP pipelines, and intelligent automation.

Hands-on with cloud-native stack

Docker, Kubernetes, AWS Proficient with SQL and NoSQL databases at scale BS in Computer Science, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

Experience with microservices, system design, scalability, fault tolerance, concurrency, and performance optimization. Solid CI/CD and DevOps practices Proven ability to deliver end-to-end product features with a product-owner mindset and focus on user/business outcomes.
