We are seeking an exceptional engineering manager to lead our engineering efforts in Siri AI. As Apple continues to ship more devices, providing a consistent, responsive, and high-performance experience is critical for our users. This is a great opportunity to impact Siri across all of Apple’s devices and play a critical role in ensuring we can deliver new experiences on a range of hardware with different capabilities.
We are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our team that owns how Siri experiences work across multiple people and multiple devices — including multi-user experience, handoff, and device selection as people move through their day with Apple's ecosystem of devices. This team's work is central to delivering seamless, intelligent, and performant user experiences across a wide range of devices.
As the manager of the team, you will drive technical direction, grow and mentor engineers, and partner closely with product, architecture, and cross-functional platform teams. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of deep technical systems challenges and people leadership.
- 6+ years of software engineering experience, with 2+ years in an engineering management role.
- Proven experience building and scaling on-device platform or frameworks.
- Track record of managing technical roadmaps and delivering complex cross-functional projects.
- Excellent people leadership skills, with experience mentoring and growing engineers.
- Experience building platform/frameworks utilizing solid networking stack is a huge plus
- Strong understanding of latency, reliability, and performance tradeoffs in system design.
- Strong communication skills; able to articulate technical concepts to diverse audiences.
