The Global Siri team pioneers innovative user experiences across over 40 languages and dialects through machine learning, natural language processing, and contemporary software development. The features we build redefine how hundreds of millions of people are connected to the information they seek and the applications they utilize across diverse devices.

We are seeking a Software Engineer with a strong background in machine learning to join our team. This individual is instrumental in shaping the future of Siri in global markets by integrating the latest advanced technologies.

As a member of this team, your responsibilities will encompass a diverse range of disciplines, including generation of data, development of machine learning models, adoption of these models in global markets, and integration of personalized experiences for each customer.

As a member of our dynamic and fast-paced group, you'll play a key role in crafting and bringing to life innovative solutions that delight millions of customers across the globe. Lead work streams to design and implement large-scale ML solutions integrating the latest state-of-the-art research in our global products to advance our customer experience.

While collaborating with partner teams across Apple, you'll contribute by sharing your experience, delivering architectural proposals that account for international market needs and maintaining an ethos of continual learning from your counterparts.

This position bridges the gap between Machine Learning and Software Engineering. The ideal candidate possesses expertise in large language models, machine learning model lifecycle management, data generation techniques, model training and evaluation, and a strong foundation in software engineering principles and system architecture.

Product-focused with a strong emphasis on end-user experience, leveraging proficiency in multiple programming languages such as Python, Swift, etc. Strong understanding of software engineering principles and computer science fundamentals. Solid grounding in machine learning, with practical working knowledge of large language models — including fine-tuning and evaluation.

Demonstrated technical ability in agentic engineering, with work that reflects real scope and complexity. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Fluency in Indonesian and Malay to support the Indonesia and Malaysia markets, and ability to work in an English-speaking environment.

BS or Advance degrees in Computer Science or related fields, or equivalent experience in a software engineering role, preferably with a focus on iOS or macOS development. Experience with training and evaluating foundation models and building scalable workflows on top of them. Ability to formulate a research problem, design, experiment, implement and communicate solutions.
