We are looking for an exceptional lawyer placed in Paris to join EMEIA International Legal’s team covering France and BENELUX. You’ll be part of a team of local and regional experts supporting the wider legal function and other stakeholders on local law issues.
As a key contributor to enabling Apple’s business, you’ll be challenged to apply your legal expertise creatively to a broad range of issues with often unexplored areas of law. This unique role offers you the opportunity to work on projects that are at the cutting edge of innovation.
You’ll be reporting to the Senior Legal Manager for Europe, being the first point of contact for legal matters in France and Benelux. You will be working closely with the legal function’s worldwide subject-matter experts on local law issues and advising other stakeholders as well.
You will need to have strong legal knowledge on a broad range of issues relating to Apple’s products and services. The successful candidate must have strong business acumen, excellent written and verbal communication skills, the ability to navigate tasks with lots of uncertainties and work with multiple stakeholders. You will lead your work with a mindset of enabling the business (while managing the legal risks).
You must be highly motivated, proactive, highly collaborative, able to continuously learn and develop a deep understanding of any issues that may impact Apple’s business, highly adaptable in a dynamic work environment and able to adjust your communication style based on the audience you are addressing. You are expected to always be up to date on the latest legal developments.
You may be required to engage with regulators and policymakers to support and advocate for Apple’s business in the region. Soft skills are key to your success in this role including but not limited to critical thinking, problem solving, collaboration and networking. Travel is essential.
University law degree with above-average exam grades. Bar admission in France. 5+ years of experience at an international law firm and/or in-house at a multinational company.
Technology savvy, business-oriented with good problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment. Fluent in French and English written and spoken; any other additional languages are a plus.
Experience in European Union laws/regulations Experience working with government agencies, regulators and other stakeholders in the region. Proven ability to advise on complex legal and regulatory issues. Demonstrated ability to exercise good judgment on time-sensitive issues.
Keen interest in regional developments and public policy issues.
