About this role
Do you want to help build some of the largest and most consequential enterprise and customer technology systems in the world? Join Apple’s Information Systems and Technology (IS&T) organization. IS&T is the engine behind everything Apple does for customers and for the people who build for them.
It’s Apple’s central nervous system. Supporting 2.5 billion active Apple devices, processing billions of secure transactions, and keeping the technology that defines modern life running flawlessly, IS&T makes the impossible feel effortless.
Do you love building solutions to handle global complexity and immense scale? Imagine what you could do here.
Infrastructure Services is part of IS&T and the foundation of Apple's global network operations — managing data center equipment and systems to deliver compute, storage, and networking services for teams across Apple, including its internal developer community. From individual facilities to a worldwide network, Infrastructure Services ensures the technology underneath everything works without question.
Apple’s Data Center Operations team supports the infrastructure that powers Apple services at scale. As an Inventory Control Specialist, you’ll help ensure material accuracy and accountability across our logistics and inventory systems. You will support daily inventory activities, assist with documentation, and help train support-level staff—all while maintaining a clean, organized, and audit-ready work environment.
This role is ideal for someone eager to develop in inventory control, order fulfillment, and logistics. Working under general supervision, the Inventory Operations Specialist helps develop processes and strategies to ensure transactional accuracy, process adherence, and inventory visibility.
In this role, you will play a key part in managing inventory across multiple categories—including IT hardware assets, automated consumable dispensing systems (AutoCrib), and Facilities (FAC) inventory.
You will collaborate closely with internal engineering and facilities partners, while coordinating day-to-day fulfillment, staging, and audit activities with vendor partners and contingent workforce personnel to ensure zero operational downtime.
Associate's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, or General Studies with relevant coursework; or equivalent job-related experience. Experience in warehousing, inventory control, supply chain, logistics, or equivalent. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds waist high.
Valid Driver's License.
Familiarity with SAP, or similar enterprise ERP / WMS systems. Experience with Lean, 5S, or continuous improvement initiatives. Foundational understanding of inventory tracking systems, automated dispensing/tool cribs, or ERP tools.
Familiarity with cycle counting, bin management, and fundamental inventory control concepts. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping. Clear verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to follow established procedures and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
