The AppleCare Data Privacy Project Manager acts as the critical bridge between AppleCare business operations, Data Privacy, and Legal teams. In this role, you will champion customer trust and data protection across AppleCare systems, tools, and processes.
You will guide cross-functional teams through essential privacy assessments, drive compliance with evolving global regulations, manage privacy-critical issues, and lead complex projects from initial concept through to final delivery and review—ensuring operational goals are met without compromising on privacy standards.
As a Data Privacy Project Manager within AppleCare, you will oversee and drive data privacy activities across a diverse, global landscape of systems and business workflows.
Working in close partnership with Privacy Legal, technical architects, and organizational DRIs, you will ensure that Privacy Impact Assessments, Legitimate Interest Assessments, Secondary Use requests, and Records of Processing are executed with rigor and precision.
Beyond compliance governance, you will lead end-to-end technical and operational projects following AppleCare Technologies standards. You will navigate complex system dependencies, facilitate cross-functional workshops, manage Radar tracking systems and privacy repositories, and lead remediation efforts tied to audits and regulatory inquiries.
The ideal candidate brings a blend of structured project management discipline, sound understanding of legal and regulatory frameworks, strong technical acumen, and the ability to thrive in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent privacy/ compliance work experience. 3+ years of relevant experience. Good understanding of legal frameworks, data protection principles, and legislative processes.
Proven project management experience with extensive, practical knowledge of project management methodologies, frameworks, techniques, and tools. Demonstrated track record of leading and delivering medium- to large-scale, global, and cross-functional projects while working to strict timelines. Strong technical acumen with the ability to understand technical issues and navigate complex, end-to-end systems landscapes.
Proven ability to deal with ambiguity, adapt to changing priorities, and make sound decisions in dynamic environments. Excellent relationship-building, cross-functional collaboration, and leadership skills. Excellent organizational and documentation skills with strong attention to detail.
Excellent presentation and communication skills with strong attention to detail. Experience facilitating brainstorming and requirements-gathering sessions, with the ability to perform robust business process analysis and provide solution recommendations. Fluency in English (written and verbal).
Dedicated background or direct experience in Data Privacy, Regulatory Compliance, or Information Governance. Professional qualification/certification in Project Management (e. g.
, PMP, PMI-ACP, PRINCE2) or Data Privacy (e. g. , CIPP/E, CIPM, CIPT).
Hands-on literacy and experience with enterprise business applications such as SAP, GSX, iLog, CAS, Radar, or equivalent platforms.
