Apple Pay and Apple Wallet continue to grow and become integral to the daily lives of our consumers, and with more developments to come, it’s an exciting time ahead for the Apple payments and services business.
The Wallet, Payments and Commerce (WPC) team is looking for an Apple Pay Technical Specialist to join the Apple Pay team to accelerate and provide technical support for integrations with eCommerce merchants and platforms.
This role will be will be the technical point of contact for merchants integrating Apple Pay, providing technical assistance via telephone, e-mail, and remote support tools to help simplify and streamline enablement of Apple Pay.
This is a highly cross-functional role requiring a collaborative and engaging communicator who can build strong rapport with both external partners (merchants and strategic partners) and internal teams across the WPC organization (including Business Development, Product, and Operations).
In this role, you will leverage your technical expertise and relationship-management skills to guide merchants and Payment Service Providers (PSPs) through the integration of Apple Pay across their e-commerce channels.
Technical Foundation
Practical experience in web development (JavaScript, HTML, CSS) and/or iOS development (Swift).
Industry Domain Expertise
Experience working within the online payments ecosystem, including merchant segments, PSPs, payment networks, and processors.
Partner-Facing Troubleshooting
Highly skilled at helping external partners navigate technical complexities and overcome integration hurdles to drive technology adoption.
System Diagnostics
Experience integrating, supporting, and troubleshooting a complex suite of software, products, and services.
Adaptable Communication
Exceptional client-facing communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable advice for non-technical stakeholders.
UX Advocate
A genuine passion for delivering outstanding customer journeys and seamless user experiences.
Exceptional Learning Agility
A proven ability to rapidly self-onboard onto unfamiliar toolsets, languages, or software platforms with minimal guidance.
Autonomous Execution
A highly organized self-starter with the discipline and project management skills to drive initiatives end-to-end with high autonomy.
Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience in app or website development.
