Anduril Industries is a defense technology company with a mission to transform U. S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology.
By bringing the expertise, technology, and business model of the 21st century’s most innovative companies to the defense industry, Anduril is changing how military systems are designed, built and sold. Anduril’s family of systems is powered by Lattice OS, an AI-powered operating system that turns thousands of data streams into a realtime, 3D command and control center.
As the world enters an era of strategic competition, Anduril is committed to bringing cutting-edge autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking technology to the military in months, not years.
ABOUT THE TEAM
The Business Development Recruiting team is responsible for attracting and hiring the talent that builds Anduril's growth engine. We recruit across the full spectrum of Business Development, including Capture, Strategy & Proposals, Business Development Representatives, Government Relations, and Program Management.
As Anduril scales into new markets, new programs of record, and new customer sets, these functions grow in complexity and criticality — and the quality of the people we bring in directly shapes how the company identifies, wins, and expands its most consequential opportunities.
ABOUT THE JOB
We are looking for a Senior Recruiter for Business Development to join our rapidly growing team in Washington, DC (preferred), Costa Mesa, CA, Seattle, WA, or Boston, MA office.
In this role, you will own full-cycle recruiting across Business Development, Government Relations, and Program Management, while providing flex support to adjacent Growth searches as needed. You will build deep partnerships with your hiring managers, becoming a trusted extension of their teams, while developing real relationships with candidates throughout the process.
This will require the versatility to context-switch across searches that demand very different domain fluency, candidate pools, and assessment approaches. In a given week you might be sourcing a Capture Manager with PEO experience, screening a Director of Business Development - Air Force for our Air Dominance & Strike Division and closing a Senior Proposal Manager who has run $500M+ competitive bids.
You will need to learn each sub-function well enough to credibly evaluate candidates and advise hiring managers on talent strategy, market dynamics, and role design. If you are someone who thrives on variety, closes with precision, and earns trust from both hiring managers and candidates through the quality of your work, this role is for you.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Full-Cycle Recruiting Execution
- Own end-to-end recruiting across Business Development, Government Relations, and Program Management, with flex capacity into adjacent Growth hiring during peak periods
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies tailored to each sub-function, recognizing that a capture manager pipeline rooted in the DoD acquisition community looks very different from a government relations pipeline built around former Hill staff and agency liaisons
- Conduct screens that assess functional depth, customer knowledge, and organizational fit, with an evaluation approach calibrated to each search — a capture lead requires different proof points than a proposal manager or a BD representative
- Manage the interview process from intake through close: calibrate with hiring managers, prepare interview panels, facilitate debriefs, and drive offers to signature
Strategic Partnership
- Partner with BD and Growth leaders to understand current and upcoming hiring needs, team composition, and the specific profiles that will succeed in each sub-function and division
- Advise hiring managers on market conditions, compensation benchmarks, and candidate availability across BD disciplines — including where cleared talent is concentrated and what it takes to move senior candidates out of primes or government service
- Provide transparent pipeline updates and market intelligence, especially when conditions require recalibrating timelines, expectations, or clearance assumptions
- Influence role design and leveling by bringing external market perspective to internal conversations about scope, customer alignment, and requirements
Process and Craft
- Own the candidate experience from first outreach through close, making sure every interaction reflects the credibility and mission-seriousness that senior BD candidates expect
- Maintain data integrity in the ATS/CRM to support accurate reporting, capacity planning, and pipeline analytics
- Identify and implement improvements to recruiting processes, tools, and interview practices within your portfolio
- Collaborate with the broader Talent Acquisition team to share market intelligence, sourcing strategies, and best practices across the Growth and BD recruiting functions
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 5–8+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- Direct experience recruiting within business development, capture, proposals, government relations, program management, or adjacent growth functions — ideally in defense, aerospace, or national security
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent searches across different functional areas while maintaining quality and candidate experience
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to advise, calibrate, and build trust with hiring managers across levels
- Data-informed mindset: you track pipeline metrics, use conversion data to diagnose search health, and present market intelligence to influence decisions
- Clear, effective communication with candidates and hiring teams, with the ability to build rapport and assess fit across a range of BD disciplines
- Ability to move fast and prioritize without letting quality or candidate experience slip
- Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export controlled information or facilities
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience recruiting in defense, aerospace, or a related industry where cleared talent, customer relationships, and program knowledge are central to candidate evaluation
- Familiarity with the DoD acquisition ecosystem — you understand what a PEO does, how capture campaigns work, and why a candidate's program history matters
- Experience recruiting across multiple BD sub-functions rather than a single specialty (e.g., both capture and government relations, not just one)
- Track record of improving recruiting processes, interview design, or assessment frameworks
- Working knowledge of security clearance processes and how clearance status affects pipeline timelines and offer strategy
- Established network or sourcing muscle in the defense BD talent market, including candidates moving between primes, non-traditional defense companies, and government service
