As a Sr SDE at CrAX (Creative Advertiser Experiences), you will lead the design and delivery of complex software systems that directly impact advertising customers.

You will define technical strategy, drive agentic AI architecture, and mentor engineers on your team while continuing to write exemplary code. This role offers the opportunity to shape how your team builds and operates software, balancing near-term delivery with long-term quality and extensibility.

Key job responsibilities

  • Lead the design, implementation, and delivery of multi-engineer software projects spanning the full development lifecycle, from defining technical strategy through deployment and operational excellence.
  • Own your team's architectural direction by evaluating tradeoffs across scalability, performance, security, and maintainability, and influence technical decisions in dependent systems you do not directly control.
  • Write high-quality, well-organized code that serves as a model for the team, and conduct thorough code reviews to ensure consistency, clarity, and adherence to best practices.
  • Mentor and coach engineers on your team, providing technical guidance and career development support while building an inclusive environment where all voices contribute to decision-making.
  • Identify opportunities via genAI to simplify existing systems, reduce technical debt, and adopt new technologies or design patterns that improve reliability and accelerate delivery across your team and partner teams.

About the team

Our team delivers creative experiences that help advertisers achieve better campaign outcomes, while improving publisher long-term monetization. We obsess over TV and display to support brand advertising across Amazon 1P and 3P supply, for all demand programs. Our vision is to help advertisers create personalized, engaging ad experiences with minimal effort.

We do this by augmenting and optimizing advertiser provide inputs, to deliver creative experiences tailored to the shopper and publisher context. We leverage GenAI to supplement or enhance creative assets on behalf of advertisers, as well as detect and resolve creative defects. We measure success by advertiser adoption, impression coverage, and performance of our creative solutions.

  • 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
  • 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
  • Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
  • 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
