About this role

Employer-provided description, formatted for easier reading.

Amazon Fulfillment Technologies (AFT) powers the physical engine at the heart of Amazon. AFT builds and operates the software, hardware, and processes that run the global network of fulfillment centers — moving billions of units of inventory, employing tens of thousands of people, and ensuring customers get what they want, when we promised it.

We do this by building automated solutions for the things technology does well, while relying on people for the things humans do well.

Our team owns the Inventory Management System (IMS) that tracks and manages inventory across Amazon's global network of fulfillment centers. Every unit that moves through a fulfillment center depends on our systems to know what inventory exists, where it is, and whether it can be promised to a customer.

Operating at this scale is uniquely complex: our systems must stay accurate and available in real time across billions of units and thousands of concurrent operations.

We are constantly innovating in how we track, reserve, and reconcile inventory — building on real-time events and data using cloud-based distributed systems. Our technology landscape spans cutting-edge AWS services and front-end technologies like React. If you are excited to solve hard problems at massive scale and have a direct impact on how millions of customers get their orders, we would love to hear from you.

Key job responsibilities As a member of a small team, you will get the opportunity to work on highly visible, innovative projects that directly influence our customer & associates experience. You will be involved in all the aspects of the software development cycle including scoping, design, implementation, testing & delivery of your product.

Our engineers are top-notch software developers who love listening to the customers, working as a team, and proactively taking the lead whenever necessary.
