Supply Chain Quality Manufacturing (SCQM)

This is a hands-on, supplier-facing role where you will lead supplier recovery and development activities , identify operational challenges and implement structured improvement plans.

You will work across complex manufacturing environments, helping suppliers strengthen their processes, increase capacity and ensure they are prepared to meet current and future production demands.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead supplier development and recovery activities to improve delivery, quality and operational performance.
• Develop and drive continuous improvement and supplier recovery plans .
• Work directly with strategic suppliers and their sub-tier supply chains to resolve performance issues.
• Identify production bottlenecks, capacity constraints and process inefficiencies .
• Conduct industrial maturity, capability and capacity assessments to evaluate supplier readiness.
• Drive improvement initiatives using Lean, APQP and Six Sigma methodologies .
• Support suppliers through Transfers of Work and industrial ramp-up activities .
• Facilitate supplier transformation initiatives to improve manufacturing capability and performance.
• Monitor supplier performance, risks and improvement actions to ensure sustainable results.
• Work closely with Procurement, Operations, Quality, Supply Chain and Programme teams .
• Act as a key point of contact for supplier performance and recovery activities .
• Support suppliers in building the capacity and capability required to meet future production demand .

Required Skills:

• Mandatory experience within aerospace manufacturing
• Proven experience in supplier development, supplier recovery or performance improvement .
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and industrial operations .
• Experience identifying and resolving production bottlenecks and capacity constraints .
• Experience conducting supplier capacity, capability or industrial maturity assessments .
• Good knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement .
• Experience using APQP and/or Six Sigma methodologies .
• Strong supplier and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to influence suppliers and drive measurable improvements.

Required Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering , or equivalent military experience .

Desirable Skills:

• Transfers of Work or industrial ramp-up experience.
• Supplier transformation or recovery experience.
• Lean / Six Sigma certification.
• Experience working with sub-tier suppliers .
• Knowledge of 8D and Root Cause Analysis .
