In Sweden we currently have 80 structural engineers working within Public and Commercial Places segment. We work with a wide scope of assignments ranging from the planning stage to execution of drawings for final production. In general, we work in teams of 10-15 people assigned to different projects.
Our engineers have a typical workload of 2-4 ongoing projects.
Typical projects include airports, hospitals, offices, schools, public transportation facilities, high-security facilities, defense facilities, retail developments and residential buildings.
Our Service Areas- you will become part of one of the described Teams:
Region East - Structural Engineering
Region East consists of approximately 35 structural engineers located across Stockholm, Norrköping, Linköping and Motala. The organization is characterized by a strong senior profile, with the majority of its engineers having 10-35 years of experience in structural engineering and building design.
The region delivers structural engineering services across a broad range of sectors, including healthcare facilities, schools, airports, sports facilities, defense, residential developments, office buildings, energy facilities, and transportation/infrastructure projects.
Clients are primarily public sector organizations, such as municipalities, regional authorities, government agencies, and public property owners, complemented by collaborations with contractors and private developers.
With offices strategically located in both the Stockholm area and Östergötland, Region East combines extensive technical expertise with a strong local presence and the capacity to manage complex multidisciplinary projects throughout Sweden. The region is led by Joakim Tornberg (Market area manager), Daniel Warminski (SAM Stockholm South), Victor Prevé (SAM Stockholm North), and Peter Svensson (SAM Östergötland).
Region West - Structural Engineering
Region West consists of approximately 30 structural engineers based in Göteborg, Skövde and Alingsås. The organization is characterized by a strong senior profile, with the majority of its engineers having 10-30 years of experience in structural engineering and building design.
The region delivers structural engineering services across a broad range of sectors, including healthcare facilities, schools, residential developments, defense projects, and energy-related facilities. Clients primarily comprise public sector organizations, such as municipalities and regional authorities, as well as major construction companies and contractors.
With offices strategically located across western Sweden, Region West combines extensive technical expertise with a strong local presence and the capability to support projects ranging from complex public buildings and healthcare facilities to residential and energy-sector developments. The region is led by Karin Stagemyr (Market area manager), Keyvan Zeidi (SAM Skövde/Alingsås) and Magnus Clase (SAM Göteborg).
Region North – Structural Engineering
Region North consists of a team of 15 structural engineers, the majority of whom have 5-15 years of experience in the industry. The unit is located in the northern part of Sweden with offices in Östersund, Umeå, Örnsköldsvik, Mora, Lycksele and Sollefteå. Typical projects for this unit include hospitals, schools, residential and defense facilities.
Clients are often public-sector organizations such as municipalities or government organizations. The region is led by Rasmus Brink (Market area manager) and Joel Melander (SAM).
Based on your experience and qualifications we will recognize you at the position of assistant structural designer or junior structural designer
Your key responsibilities
- Develop structural designs for buildings
- Set up and create structural models in Tekla and Revit
- Collaborate with architects and other engineers to optimize building designs
- Ensure compliance with building codes and regulations
- Prepare detailed technical drawings and specifications
- Report and follow up on own progress and budget
We expect that you have
- Master's or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in structural design for buildings
- High proficiency in modelling and drawing production in Tekla and Revit
- Experience of working in Tekla Model Sharing or Autodesk Construction Cloud
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills in English
- An unpretentious attitude, a team player, and a solution-oriented mindset.
We appreciate if you also have
- Experience of working with projects in Sweden
- Experience in scripting or other tools used for automating design flows
- Proficiency in performing structural calculations according to Eurocode
- Knowledge of Swedish
